With no pressing short story ideas in my head and with the Zombie Town novel having gone on sabbatical to figure out what exactly it wants to do with itself (I’ll post about that later), I’ve decided to make up my own writing challenge for April. I’m calling it the April Fool Challenge.
What is it? I’ll post a writing prompt each morning, then by the end of the day I will post a flash piece I wrote based on said prompt. I’m going to try to keep each piece under 500 words, but we’ll see. If you would like to join in on the insanity, feel free to post a link to your results in the comments here.
The madness starts Wednesday! Wish me luck!
Holy crap! Good luck!
Thanks! I’m probably doomed, but it’ll be fun to see what happens!
Wow… so like the SED contest but for the whole month?! Impressive!
I’m going to send the WI April prompts out soon. If you want to use some of those as your daily prompts so you don’t have to think up all new ones every single day, you are more than welcome to do so (assuming any of them inspire you, that is
). I created all those prompts from scratch, and I totally don’t mind if they are cross-posted somewhere else!
Yay, your comment showed up!
I’ll most definitely be using some of the April contest prompts for inspiration too!
