Last week I received two acceptances, this week I received two rewrite requests—October’s been a pretty interesting month so far. I’m going to give the two rewrites a go—I think the editor’s had good points on both the stories, so I’m hoping to tackle that this weekend.
In other news, if you’re a fan of horror, I encourage you to check out “Radiodemonology” over at Pseudopod. I really enjoyed this story. It got a little gross toward the end, but I just yanked my earbuds out for a few seconds until it got less gross. That’s the one problem I have with the horror genre—sometimes it just gets way too graphic and way too gross. I know it’s necessary sometimes—scary stuff can be gross and gross stuff is usually kinda scary, or at least creepy, but I guess we all have our threshold. I think I tend to enjoy implied grossness more than explicit grossness.

Interesting on the rewrite requests. Congrats!
I’m there with you on the grossness thing. I can’t stand too much of it. **shudders**
