3. Were you a Toys R’ Us Kid?
Yes! I went there to buy Atari games and other awesome ’80s toys!

4. Did you watch Transformers?
No. I was into Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and Care Bears!

5. Did you see E.T. on the big screen?
No, but I got it on VHS for Christmas one year. I never really got into it, though. ET was one ugly mother . . .

6. Did you own a Lite Bright?
Oh, yes.

7. Who is your favorite Golden Girl?
Uh . . . the slutty one?

8. When someone says “Who you gonna call?”
Ghostbusters!

9. What was your favorite toy(s) in the eighties?
Colorforms, pencil and paper, Barbies, She-Ra toys, My Little Ponies, awesome Little Tyke desk.

10. Did you have a Pogo Ball?
No, those are evil.

11. Did you listen to New Kids on the Block?
Yes, I had one of their cassette tapes. :-\ And a poster or two.

12. What New Kid did you have a crush on?
Jordan :-\

13. Did you play M.A.S.H?
Way too much.

14. Did you watch The Care Bears?
Way too much! I watched the VHS of the movie so many times it wore the tape out.

15. Did you have Jelly bracelets?
Yes, and I still do. When I was in college, I’d wear about 45 on each arm.

16. Did you have a charm necklace and/or bracelet?
Bracelet. Still have it.

17. Did you have a Glo Worm?
Yes. It was green, and I think it was slightly misshapen.

18. Did you ever own a slap bracelet?
About a million.

19. The Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles?
Sixteen Candles because Molly Ringwald’s family is so dysfunctional and wrong. The guy she was crushing on was pretty lame, though (aren’t they always).

20. Did you have a crazy hair style?
Spiral perm in kindergarten. My hairdresser cousin lived with my mom and I in the ’80s, so I was privy to all kinds of crazy hair stuff.

21. What was your first bike?
A pink and purple Huffy with a banana seat from a garage sale. It was pretty awesome.

22. Name one thing you still own from your childhood:
Teddy bear.

23. Did you have a Cabbage Patch Kid?
I had one of those where you buy the disembodied head and sew your own body. My aunt sewed the body, but I picked one hell of an ugly head. It was this totally androgynous one with stumpy blonde hair. What was I thinking?

24. Did you dress like Madonna?
Ew, no. I’m a Cyndi Lauper girl all the way.

25. Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake?
They both rock my socks.

26. Did you watch Miami Vice?
I saw one episode where I guy jumped/fell off a balcony and busted his head wide open. Scarred me for life. Seriously.

27. Did you own a pair of Jelly Shoes?
That’s all I ever wore. And I wore socks with them. Is that dorky?

28. Did you own a Trapper Keeper?
Yes. It had geometric shapes on it. So ’80s.

29. Atari or Nintendo?
Atari 7800!

30. Did you play Pac-Man?
Ms. Pac-Man, actually.

31. Which was better: He-Man or She-Ra?
She-Ra she had that pink horse she rode around on. But I really liked Catra.

32. What movie scared you the most?
Hmmm . . . I loved scary movies when I was a kid. I watched Elvira a lot. I was probably most scared of Jaws though, even though we didn’t live anywhere near an ocean.

33. Did you try to dance like Michael Jackson?
Just moonwalking. :-\

34. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “Flux Capacitor”?
DeLorean

35. What other colors did Pepsi come in?
Crystal! And I drank that stuff, too.

36. Roger Rabbit or Howard the Duck?
Roger Rabbit. I got it on VHS for Christmas and watched it so . . . many . . . times! Still love it!

37. Did you ever beg your parents to have your school picture taken with the ‘LASER’ background?
Huh?

Like Ninja Turtles?

39. Do you know why people cringe when they hear the word BUCKNER?
Because it sounds vaguely dirty?

40. Can you name the family members from National Lampoons Vacation movies?
No, but I’ve seen various ones.

Wally-World.

42. What was your favorite movie from the 80’s?
There are so many! Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, Star Trek II, Roger Rabbit, Vibes, Naked Gun, Airplane, Top Secret, This Is Spinal Tap, and many more . . .

    Hey… we had the same Atari! I remember having this game that was a cheap rip-off of Frogger — you had to get a chicken across the traffic, not a frog.

    Also, I totally realized when reading your responses that I totally didn’t get the M.A.S.H. question. How lame is that? When I read it, I thought of the TV show, and I was like, “Heck no, I never pretended to be Hot Lips or any of those guys.” LOL! I actually played the pen-and-paper fortune-telling game all the time. That one and the one where you wrote stuff on paper, folded it up, asked questions (like for a magic 8 ball), and then folded it back and forth a certain number of times.
